I used to run around Sloss a lot.
My family worked on a few archeology digs out there.

Wow, very late reply... Sorry... Anyway...
That's cool. So both of them are archeologists? Where exactly did they dig though? Just curious since most of the place is concrete, or at least that is all I can remember the place being covered in.

They aren't Archeologist. We started out volunteering at a dig down in south Al that was an old Indian burial ground. My mom was at UAB and did the field school as a student and then we hung around and kept on volunteering in the lab and on other digs.

The places we dug at Sloss.

The first time we were looking for the original casting shed close to where the one standing now is. It's to the the right of Sloss where they do the metal pourings.

The second time we were looking for the Bee hive coke ovens. They are close the the old War Baby Train that is there now. Or to the left of where you are shooting.

That's pretty cool, I always thought that going on a dig would be fun. I'm pretty sure that I know where you are talking about. But I know where the Train is and have a good idea where you dug.

the walls look cool, with the darkness almost melting into lightness from the little lightbulb. lol the ligh looks cool. it's weird how at the end of the hallway, there is that blue from the natural light. that was by far one of my favorite parts of sloss. it's so cool how it is like this. i can only imagine what it's going to look like in 10+ years...

The front is distractingly bright that the rest of the picture seems to be a haze.

It's still very nice though :)

I couldn't help that much, don't think they had a light switch XD
The haze is probably due to the low lighting. I also think that I think the tripod shook a little during the shot, because the metal walkway vibrated.

Thank you :D
